Vesna Buntak

I finished my medical education in Zagreb, Croatia, and initially started working as pre-hospital emergency medicine physician. I continued with internal medicine residency at Canton Medical Education Foundation in Northeast Ohio, and then pursued Bridgeport Hospital pulmonary and critical care fellowship in Connecticut. During my education I had the amazing opportunity to work with many sleep physicians. It was that interaction that piqued my interest in sleep medicine. I was eager to follow in their steps. My interests are sleep neurophysiology, circadian rhythm, congenital central hypoventilation syndrome, to list a few. I look forward to this new exciting chapter in my life.

In my time off, I am always ready to seek out new adventures, I love to read books, surf, scuba dive, rock climb, snowboard... I try to live by the famous old Irish proverb: “A good laugh and a long sleep are the best cures in the doctor's book”.
