Fellowship Programs
The mission of the Yale Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Fellowship programs is to train outstanding physicians for careers in academic pulmonary, critical care and sleep medicine. To achieve this goal, we provide fellows with outstanding clinical training. Fellows pursue cutting edge independent research projects in clinical, translational or basic areas of research under the guidance of PCCSM faculty.
This comprehensive fellowship program consists of a three-year training period during which at least 18 months are dedicated to clinical training to acquire the clinical skills to practice PCCM medicine, and 18 months to research in PCCM medicine for a total of 36 months.
The objective of the sleep fellowship is to prepare physicians to become outstanding board-certified clinicians in sleep-disordered Medicine with sleep-related research training to allow them to pursue an academic career in sleep medicine.
The interventional pulmonary fellowship at Yale offers a unique training for the individual aspiring to acquire the necessary skills for a career in IP. We strive to offer the appropriate balance of clinical training, research and education and have designed a one-year fellowship around these goals.
