Maternal-Fetal Medicine Research

Welcome to the Yale University Maternal-Fetal Medicine Perinatal Research group. For the last several decades our Department has been at the forefront of conducting and teaching research in the field of Maternal-Fetal Medicine and developmental biology. Our faculty and fellows promote, coordinate, and conduct cutting-edge clinical, basic science, epidemiologic and translational research.

As a testimony to our intellectually stimulating environment, several members of the MFM section have been awarded federal and private foundation research grants. This played an important role in building a unique expertise of the Perinatal Research group in designing studies targeted to discover new biomarkers with biological and clinical relevance for preterm birth, preeclampsia, coagulation disorders, and neonatal sepsis. We understand the importance of educating the next generation of MFM leaders, and we are determined to maintain a high standard of training as a goal of our research mission.
