Dr. Masheb is a Research Scientist at the Yale School of Medicine and the VA Connecticut Healthcare System. Her primary area of scholarly and academic interest is in the field of behavioral medicine/health psychology, with more specific interests and expertise in obesity and pain. Dr. Masheb is the recipient of multiple grants from the National Institutes of Health, a Fellow of the American Psychological Association, and Co-chair of the Military and Veterans Interest Group for the Society of Behavioral Medicine. She co-founded the Program for Obesity, Weight and Eating Research at Yale, and recently expanded her work to address these problems in Veterans. She serves as Director of Education for the PRIME Center at VA CT and as scientific consultant to the VA National Weight Management Program, MOVE!. Dr. Masheb is also a clinical psychologist and holds a joint appointment at the Yale Divinity School where she teaches Psychopathology.
