Disability Discourse Matters (DDM) is a research initiative powered by artificial intelligence (AI) that was launched in the spring of 2025 at Yale Child Study Center. DDM is centered around the collection and analysis of statements that are publicly made by political leaders about people with disabilities. A summary of initial data collected between January and November 2025 was recently released, and expansion of the dataset is planned later in 2026.
