Geriatrics Newsletter

October 2023

Letter from Section Chief Terri Fried, MD

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

Welcome to our second annual newsletter! With the start of the academic year, five new clinical fellows have joined Yale Geriatrics. Their arrival on campus—and their enthusiasm for learning—reinvigorates the work of our section. You can learn more about their paths to Yale and their aspirations in the stories below.

In other news, we received renewed funding for the Pepper Older Americans Independence Center, and we continue to work on integrating our Yale Medicine and Northeast Medical Group physicians into a unified program, among many other projects and efforts underway. Our faculty and staff remain leaders in aging research, changing the way we practice medicine at the school and beyond.

As always, please stay in touch and reach out to me with any news. I hope you enjoy reading about a few of the many highlights from our section.
