Education Fund

The department maintains an education fund, included in the salaries for PGY I-IV residents, to help offset the purchase of educational materials, including books and journals, certain educational technology costs, and attendance at regional or national meetings.

The educational fund for each PGY I-IV resident is $2,000.

Health Benefits

Residents are eligible to obtain personal and family health benefits at no cost through the Yale Health Plan, which provides care for students, employees, and faculty of Yale University. Other commercial health insurance plans are also available.

Disability Insurance Benefits

Disability benefits are provided for all residents at no charge.

License Costs

The residency program will reimburse you for your Connecticut license in the PGY3 and 4 year.

Vacation

Residents may take 4 weeks of paid vacation per a year.
