Educational Leadership

Program Overview

The goal of the Educational Leadership Fellowship is to train and develop academic emergency physicians to have the skills, knowledge and experience to be strong educators and leaders in Emergency Medicine education. The focus is on developing future leaders of EM residencies or in Undergraduate Medical Education.

This program will primarily use internal resources and faculty for the majority of the education and leadership opportunities with the addition of the Macy Leadership Course and the annual CORD Academic Assembly with the focus on the Navigating the Academic Waters track.

This one-year Educational Leadership Fellowship is a non-ACGME residency and the fellow will graduate of a 3 or 4-year medicine residency and be board eligible in Emergency Medicine. The fellow will work 18 hours per week clinically in the ED plus have four weeks of vacation during the fellowship.
